This is very infuriating. The CO's, case workers, EVERYONE at the MD death row are very difficult to deal with. It's like talking to a brick wall. I get transferred to different people, am given telephone numbers to people that transfer me AGAIN. This guy wants me to visit him but it seems like a losing battle. Any suggestions?

Have they refused you in writing? What reason are they giving? I'm not sure with the visitation rules of MD, but do you have to be on a visitation list and approved before you can visit? Sorry for all the questions, but some things need to be answered before we can really help you!

mrsd is correct. Also is there a form that you need to fill out, there is here in Kentucky, but I don't know about Maryland. Also if you have a felony conviction chances are you will be denied.

Hope you can get some answers, perhaps if you can answer the questions, someone will come along and be able to help you.

Good luck to you.

No, I don't have a felony convinction. I was never given a form to fill out. Maybe he is jerking my chain...

Well all of the prisons I know requires a visitation form to be filled out, so perhaps that could be the hold up. Now some prisons, the inmate has to send it to you and other prisons it comes from Administration.

Good luck to you.

You have to be on his approved visiting list. You get on the list by filling out a visiting form and the DOC must approve you. Usuaully the inmate sends you the form and you send it back to the person and address on the form.

Here is a list of the facilities and their rules for visiting.

Softheart, I don't see the death row address there. They are located on E. Madison St., Baltimore, MD

Here is the information they have listed
They are kept at Maryland Correctional Adjustment Center

It doesn't give you as much information as some of the other facilities, but it gives you some.

If I were you, each time you speak to someone about it get the name and rank and start writing this information down. If you don't get anywhere after a period of time write to the Warden and detail the dates, times, people you spoke to and their response.

I think once they know you are prepared to go the distance, you will get on the list very quick.
