Around the 5th of March, I made a decision to let Rick know how I've been feeling for a long time now. I told him that I love him but it seems that I am the only one putting any effort in our relationship. He's only written me 8 letters since he's been back in (a little over a year). He's pretty good about calling but I've had to cut back on them to 1 every other week, as they cost me $20 for a 15 minute call and I am on a very limited income (SSI). I told him he had to start putting forth more effort than picking up a phone every other week and that it's up to him if he wants to stay together (we've been together 5 yrs now) and that he knows what has to done. I also told him I feel that he is taking me for granted. He should have received my letter by the 11th and I haven't heard from him yet (not even a phone call). So obviously he has made up his mind and doesn't want this relationship. It hurts me very deeply but I will be ok. I've been praying ever since I wrote the letter that God's will be done in my life and that God would give me the strength to go through this if necessary. Hi Rosi, I think I understand what you're going through.... it's good you made your needs clear, and you are right, after that, it's up to him. It's really hard just hanging in there with someone who is "kinda" there for you but not enough. I've been struggling with this too and like you I got tired of being taken for granted. I hope you stay strong and things get better for you....
