my husband has been in for 8 years and was givin 29 1/2 to life

My fiancee has put in 8 yrs.

I was thinking only people with inmates IN NEW YORK would answer this....I am thinking that did not happen. I was curious about NEW YORKINMATES>>>thanks :D

My husband has been inside for 22 years, his sentence is 25 years to life.

my husband 34 years.....

Marty has only been in for just over 2 months yet and has been sentenced to 1 1/4 to 4. His first parole hearing is august 2005

Mine is at Riverview CF NY, he got 12 1/2 to 25 yrs. Up for parole in 2008.

He has been in 4 1/2 years this month and will be eligible for work release in April 05

18 years in.

My husband has been down for 8 years and he was hit with a 25yr-life sentence

He's been down 13 years, when everything is said and done it will probably be 17 years total unless we get a miracle and they let him go at parole but knowing the jacked up NYS parole system we aren't holding our breath!

My Loves been in for 10 years, has 23 more to go

my brother has been in for about 16yrs...

this bid jeff has been down for almost 7 years. he had also done a prior 18 month bid in rikers island.

when Joe is done, he will have served about 5 years.

My baby has been in for almost 8 years, sentence was 22 to life, but waiting on legal team to give us some good news this month about getting him some sort of relief!!! Wish us luck! :)

this bid -- three years in, three years left to go.

My man has done almost 23 years of a 25 to Life sentence. I have been with him four of those years.

by the time he gets home 8/06 it will be almost 20

its been over two and half and at least another two before he gets home. i guess i am luckier its only five years flat. :( the rest of you have hearts of gold from what i have seen!

My son was in county on nov 9th. Move him to Elimra Reception on feb. 10th. Up for parole on feb 21, 2006

Luis has one year and two months to go. He was sentenced on a flat bid of 7 years.

2 years and 2 months my fiance has been in. His first parole is September 2007. They have to let him go by 4/30/2010 Hopefully I won't have to wait until then. :idea:

My husband went to Riker's island, then to Auburn in 1996, he was released in 2001. So he did around 6 years. He went back October 2004, for violation of parole :(
He gets out 8/30/2005....so this time around = 11 months.

he's been in since march 1999 so 6yrs 3mos..maxes out in 19months(2/6/07)..yipeeeee!!!!!!!

Wow, I thought I had it rough.

Mine has done 2 and 1/2 of a 5-15 sentence. He's up for parole in Nov. 2007, but neither one of us is counting on it. Seems like they automatically deny them the first time around in NY, no matter how well they've done.

I had had a little hope since this was his first run in with the law, and he's in his 50's. But after reading about it, I'm more inclined now to believe he's not just feeling down on himself, when he tells me not to get too excited about it.

finally, someone from ny. my daughter has been in jail since 9/6/04. she just was transferred to the shock program in lakeview. any info about shock would be appreciated. she was sentenced under the rockefeller law, 25 to life, then dropped to 4- to life with the repeal of the law, 4 yrs determinate, shock eligible.

my husband, got a flat 7, and has just done a few months so still have almost 6 years to go.

In and out mostly in for total of 12 years

Dave's only been incarcerated 10 months. He went in November 9th 2004.

My son got a "flat 7." He was in jail from 10/27/04, was sentenced 6/05 (which was applied); late June sent to Downstate; transferred to Auburn early September... so he has about 6 years more to go.:(

mine served 5 years back in for 18 months on parole violation. he has 9 months left

It will be a year in July that my husband has been in. He may be out on work release in another year and a half... otherwise he has a merit release date in Dec. 2009.

My man's in a Lakeview shock facility, he's been in shock for about 2 weeks now but he been lock up for 7 months. December 8th he will be home yeahhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!!!!

after him doing 17 years he is coming home in less than 2 months! :) I did 6 of those years with him and I cannot believe it is almost over!!!

congrats Jen! I am waiting taking it one day at a time, my husband is working on getting a reversal, i hope it works out for the best!
