Does anyone know how it could work for an inmate from the Polunsky Unit to get a form for the power of attorney and to get it certified? Any advice is appreciated, thank you!

Can an attorney visit him with a notary?

Most attorney's in Texas are notaries -- if his attorney is a notary he can schedule an attorney visit and get it done that way.

I have power of attorney for an inmate on death row Texas. He needs to type it up himself, and get it notified, someone comes along from Polk county on certain days, and notorizes it for them. If you need any help drawing one up, feel free to PM me :)

Hi there,

You can go online and download either a 'Texas durable power of attorney form' or 'Texas non durable power of attorney form' for free (just google the above terms). Fill in his name, number and address and yours, and print out two copies. You'll need to sign your acknowledgment as an agent. Send both copies to him and tell him to I60 the legal library about notarising - they have a notary over there and they'll come to him and notarlse his signature. Get him to send you one of the copies for your files. This is how we did it and it was really straightforward.

hope this helps!
