God trying to get these kids to the bus is a treat for anyone

Anyways, I wanted to post this in a new thread considering the forum.....

It is a medical fact that the tear ducts are the only release valve on your body for the chemicals extreme stress distributes into your body when your under duress.

It was always my contention that that is why women live longer then men, because men are taught not to cry and they are holding all those chemicals, while women cry all the time and release them.

Cry, cry, cry, it is good for you!

much love

I AGREE! Crying IS healthy. It doesn't feel good at the time, but it truly helps in the healing process. I should know :D I'm a big 'ol cry baby. Or at least used to be.

I know when I let loose and get a good'ol cry in, I sleep better that night!

I do agree that crying is the best sometimes. I mean you really feel like you are just letting go of all things when you have a good cry :)

BTW a counseler told me to make sure with all the crying I'm (we are) doing to drink plenty of waters because even though it doesn't seem like those little tears are a lot they really can dehydrate you! She of course also said what we know it is good for you to get it out!

I read (three times now) a book called "Yesterday I Cried : Celebrating The Lessons Of Living And Loving" by Iyanla Vanzant. It is a very good book and I recommend it to anyone who cries :D

"Life is about cleaning up the crap and, while you're doing it, being okay with the fact that you have to do it.... A word of caution. You can't get caught up in the crap! If you do, you will surely lose sight of the real meaning of life and lose your Self."

Iyanla Vanzant knows plenty about dealing with just such "crap." She has led a difficult life, full of periods of abuse and self-loathing, but she has managed to learn "the lessons beneath the tears" and move beyond her grief and into understanding. In Yesterday, I Cried, she passes these lessons along, continually stressing that past hardships can and should be used to teach us how to grow, heal, and love others and ourselves. The message is one that has been echoed in her bestsellers One Day My Soul Just Opened Up and In the Meantime, but when presented as a memoir, the result is particularly moving.
