I have a badly patched wall in the bedroom, that is still sporting a 50 cent size hole that the landlord is not going to repair.

I have a Ketchican Alaska novelty blanket that I was thinking on hanging on the wall to hide all the damage.

But how do I hand the blanket without damaging it???

Using long thin nails and slipping it between the weave of the blanket. Usually, at hardware stores... in the nail section, I reckon, you can find tacks with longer ... whatever the pointy part is called. ;) That part is much slimmer than a nail and would slide through like a pin/needle.

Make sure that you distribute the weight as evenly as you can. I had a blanket hanging on a wall a couple of apartments back and it sagged in a couple places. It hung like that for a couple years and now, it is permanently in that shape on one end. ;)
Good luck!

You can buy blanket hanging thingies that makes it easy to hang them.. my sister uses them to hang quilts.

I think Joann's or any quilt shop probably sells them too!

LOL!!! You haven't seen the curtains that I have nailed up on the windows on the back side of the house!!

I guess, at this point it is priorities! I had to have privacy from the exterior windows. I don't have to hang the blanket, so can look at "grown up" options!!

JJT-Re. the hole in the wall - can you get some Polyfilla -the kind in a tube- and patch it if the landlord won't?

I could do that. But with all the other expenses that I am shelling out to make this place liveable and comfortable, I want to do something that I can take with me!!

I have waaaaaaayyyy to much Scottish blood in me to put anymore money into a rental!!!

LOL
