I have a loved one that has yet to be sentenced, will probably go to a high security facility. I am trying to find out where a lifer in Iowa would go and what the rules of the facility are. It would be nice to be prepared, get everything together that is needed for the prospective inmate, prior to entering the facility, to make the transition easier. I just need some good old honest help! I thought it would be Mitchellville, but I don't know now, from what I have read, it looks to be a medium security facility. I would appreciate any help.
