*NOTE*
Due to the template for this document, it was near impossible to post it here without losing its layout, so I have made a separate web page for everyone to view.

A big thanks to Becky for submitting this to me for everyone here to view. I am sure it will help explain many points of interest to those dealing with Texas Parole.

Members,

When looking at the point system I reccomend that you do more than just add up the points. The point areas tell you what are the areas of concern as well as strong points of your loved one's case. If your loved one scores well on the Dynamic factors side this shows strong institutional adjustment. If their is an area where they score poorly, like revocations for example, but your loved one spent several years out of trouble your written argument should explain these things. Revocations are on the scoring system because they predict the likelihood of succeeding on a future parole. But lengthy time off paper would address this point in a positive way. I recommend looking at the risk factor scoring system and Rule 145.2 Parole Guidelines when starting to put together you parole packet or written argument. If you stay within these Guidelines and relevant areas of concern and make a written request to speak to the Board your chances of getting an interview with the laed voter will increase. For a copy of Rule 145.2 and further free parole advice, check out my web site
