As I am sure many of you noticed last night, it was very hard at times, if not impossible to access the site between 9:20pm and 11:45pm. From what I have been told our datacenter was hit by a massive DDoS attack which completely bawged down one of the routers which our server uses. The tech guys in the datacenter were on it from the get-go but it took them a while to overcome it.
My apologies to anyone who was making a post and was not able to actually post it due to response from the server.
While cases like this are rare, they are bound to happen. Hopefully this was our one time in the year that it does to us.

I missed my prime PTO time last night - felt like I was sent to bed without supper! ;)

Actually, today we got hacked. It actually looks like it happened last night but the clowns didn't do anything until today. They did not get root server access but they did get partial FTP access and had fun changing the Index.html pages of many of the sites I am providing hosting space for to say: "TechTeaM ownZ u box Contact dollarz@bol.com.br"
It was more a prank than an outright attack but it has cost me many hours today and I still have some work to do contacting people.
Now you know why I am not down for the hackers..
Any way, PTO was only effected by the front re-direct page. PrisonChat.net's entire main page is still offline until I re-upload in a few minutes.
This shouldn't happen again. It turns out that the DDoS attack was more of a cover while the hackers came in and exploited a weakness in CPanel 5 that somehow was not automatically updated/patched like it was supposed to. Now we have all those areas covered and are running WHM/CPanel6.

I am sorry that you had to waste all this time on re-doing this, what a mess. Glad that everything is back to normal.

And I thought it was just me! I couldn't even open my PMs and then when I could, they kept comming up over and over as if they hadn't been opened.....

I sure am glad you know what you are doing!! lol Cuz I have absolutely NO IDEA what a Panel 5 or a Panel 6 is, so I guess that's why you're the one in charge!! :) I noticed a little shock to the system, but I just got off and got back on several times and it seemed to work ok. But then again, I am already slow, so maybe it was just me lol

David, I saw that ownZ you message yesterday (thursday) around 2pm when I logged in. I had to type www.prisontalk.com/forums to get past it and get on the site.

Just curious...are you able to trace 'hackers' and find out who/or what organization might be trying to disrupt PTO?
