I just wanted to give a shout out to all the reformed thugs out there that grew up around violence and criminals, who had dealers, thieves and pimps as role models
Who got themselves out of the hood, tried to make a better life for themselves, stopped the killing and the jackings.
Then ended up in the pentitentary simply because of their background and our screwed up court system.
This goes out to my papi who put the guns down and the toolbelt. Made an honest living, came home to his wife every night. Then got railroaded for political resons (The police think they need to get him out of our town, he'll corrupt our children with his thuggish looks. He looks like he might rape and murder my wife. Quick, run to the house, hide women and children and lock the doors.)
But even in that evil place of so-called correctional faculity, he has stayed true to his woman and given up the thuggin.

I hear ya on that one! I wouldn't love him if he didn't have the "thug" element. I am the overly educated one and we compliment each other perfectly.

He will always be a thug but he's saved now so he has a higher presence that guides his actions. But when we talk about decisions he always mentions what the thug would have done in the same situation.

As long as he still "gives it to me" like a thug then it is ALL GOOD lol!

I definitely have thug love. My man left the gang but it's still inside of him. He's tryin to make his life better so hopefully it will all work out once he gets out and he can finish college. But I love everything about my thug.
