I was just curious what others have. How often do you get FV's?
At OF, we only get them every 90 days.
How many days/what days do you go?
At OF, you can chose Thursday-Sunday, or Sunday-Wednesday.

Also, how many of you will lost your family visits if AB 212 passes?
We'll lose ours.

I haven't got mines yet, but if AB 212 passes I won't be getting them at all. Anyone know what's going on with that?

Tomi,
Which camp do you get them every month. That's great!
Cheetoes, I'm sorry about your mom. Hang in there. :(
BRodriguez, if you go to http://www.sen.ca.gov/
You can view all legislative actions. Right now it's slated to be heard by the Safety Committe on the 15th. Get those letters in, folks!

I'm getting my first family visit next week.:D I'm going Tuesday and leaving Thursday. We are allowed to have them every 30 days, but I hear they are about every five weeks.

Hey Wendy,

Every 30 days for us too and we can pick any 3 consecutive days that are avaliable. And I am guessing that if that bill passes, those that are eligible will be able to get them every week! Hell, at a level 3 or 4 prison no one will be able to have family visits. That bill sucks! Hopefully everyone has written and called and told everyone that they know to do the same. Although we will be having "family visits" at home by then I have had everyone that I know write letters in oposition of this stupid mean-spirited bill.

Wow! You are ALL so lucky! We only have them every 90 days! My husband can't go to a camp, because even though he's the lowest a level II can be, he can't be a level I because he's a violent offender. Thanks everyone for responding!
Best,
Wendy

At Avenal we get them every 60-90 days, depending on there available days. Mostly every 2 1/2 months, Ive been to 5 of them. I go Fri at 12:30pm thru Sun at 9am. Thats the only time weve been schedualed. My husband wouldn't loose them if the bill passes, but hes getting out next month so we don't have any left. :)

Can't ever have them. So enjoy while you can because if people like DeVor have their druthers everyone will lose them.

We get visits every 30 days. Either Friday thru Monday or Monday thur Thurs. My husband is in a minimum facility with 0 points, but a robbery is considered a violent crime. I'm not sure about this anymore?????? Does it make a difference if he is on a minimum yard and has 0 points, yet he was convicted of robbery??? HELP PLEASE> PM me because I can never find my posts! I'm an airhead, I know. I would appreciate any help from anybody. Thank you!!

You are fine! Don't worry! No prison EVER gives you more than you are entitled to. :)

Well I found out although I don't have them yet that I can do the once every 3 months for the 42 hours or whatever it is OR I can do them every 6 months and have 96 hours with him and I can pick the days because of the distance I travel.

I hope and pray that bill doesn't pass to take them away before I even get them I would be highly

I do not think so as long as you are married he can put in the paperwork.

There's no rule about how long he's down for...as long as he's got a date...in other words, if he's a lifer no.

AB 212? Check this link out:
http://www.senate.ca.gov/
It explains the proposed bill fully, but Assemblyman DeVore has authored a poorly written bill that attempts to take FV's away from all violent felons.
