Aloha Everyone:

I saw mj2play's post on the "Which Hawaiian prison is your loved one at?" sticky in this forum. To see if we can give her some help, I'll put her question here:

"My fiancee is in OCCC in Hawaii. He is in for 1 year, as a part of his 10 year probation. I want to learn about possibilities on getting out early."

Might anyone know what the guidelines for early release are for someone serving the kind of sentance her fiance is serving at OCCC? What I know are just generalities. I know that they cycle out of OCCC fairly quickly. The inmates who are in the annexes are there for a short time, maybe up to or a little over a year if I were to hazard a guess. The ones in the modules are either pretrial, presentance, or prerelease.

Does anyone have more specifics about incarceration at OCCC? Please advise.

OCCC is basically a "holding" facility. So, the longest time generally served in there would be 1 year before being transfered to Halawa, FDC, etc. As for the "early release" thing, that would all depend on his charges, attitude, prior record, current occupancy in the facility, sometimes how much money he has to pay his lawyer, etc. There are a lot of things to consider before anyone can even try to answer that question. Do we have any more info about him?
