does anyone know about death row in alabama. my husband has been there 12 years but he and i have not been together that long.he wont even discuss that situation with me.that is a really touchy subject for him. he declares his innocence and all the things i have heard ,talks with the lawyers and such he is innocent. i really believe that. i believe what he says.the whole case boils down to he said she said there is no real evidence.the jury had decided he was not guilty and the judge oeverturned the sentence.he has already been thru several appeals.i just want to know how much time were looking at here.i cant bring myself to ask him, b/c of the way i know he feels about it .he is innocent but i know there has been innocent people executed.does anyone know how long someone can sit on death row in alabama.

GENO first let me welcome you to PTO you will find all ot of Love and Support here.

I have moved your post in to a thread of its own. It is hard to say about your husband, it depends where he is with his appeals, what merits his case has. What his lawyers are pursuing. One good thing he falls under the old law before DNA. So that gives him more avenues and appeals, don't go as fast as the newer ones convicted do.
