View Full Version : i too love a violent offender
haven 03-01-2003, 12:55 PM my fiance butchie killed a man. some say it was cold blooded and others say it wasn't. i really don't know what it was. i feel that he did it case of me. i introduced him to the girl who hired him to kill her husband. a so called friend hired him to kill her trucker husband and told him that if he didn't do it, i wuold be dead and so would he. he was scared. he figured that if se was crazy enogh to hire him to kill her husband, that she would probably hire someone to kill us. if she didn't already have someone for that job. now he is awaiting his trial and so far the only thing i have heard is that the state is going to try for life without parole. my fiance is very depressed and has been for many years. that was part of the reason she was able to get him to do this. his family and i hope that he can get second degree. he had a veryhard life. his mother left him when he was a baby and anytime she was supposed to come see him, something always came up. he hasn't seen or heard from her since he was a year old. and that girl used that against him. she would call him everyday and pester him about it till he snapped. which he finally did. now i want the death penalty for her and just want him to come home to me.maybe some day.

haven 03-18-2003, 08:50 AM thank u all. as i sit here and write, i cry. she has now found someone to stake me out and someone has been calling my house and just breathing into the phone. she has made my life a living hell. i can't even leave my own home for fear that someone will shoot me. i am a witness against her. my fiance is looking at life w/o parole. i'm crossing my fingers that it will get better. i have to have the police come by my house and check up on me to make sure that iam safe. that is no way to live, but because of her, i have to live without the love of my life and i have to live in fear. i will keep u all posted on what is to come.
SCLady 03-18-2003, 09:23 AM Welcome to PTO, sorry to hear about your situation.
haven 03-18-2003, 09:30 AM thank u.
MyLife1020592 03-18-2003, 09:26 PM That is a very sad story. I wish the best for you both. That lady sounds crazy and sounds like she really needs help.
haven 03-18-2003, 09:53 PM we just found out today that my fiance's lawyer isn't doing everything he can for the case. he isn't even going to fight for a lesser sentence than life without parole. and my fiance needs to see a psychiatrist and he won't get one for him. so we are trying to find him a new lawyer but the problem is we can't really afford a lawyer. he has a public defender now. anyone know how i can find a state paid lawyer other than a public defender for my fiance in the maryland area? if so please let me know. my fiance is starting to remember things about that night like that she was there and he froze. he couldn't kill the guy so he remembers her taking the gun from him and pulling the trigger herself. we just need to prove it.

Welcome to PTO and I sincerely hope that things will begin to straighten out for you both..... I don't have any idea about how Maryland Operates, but I am sure they might have a DOC, Family Services unit..... Try to contact them and really they do offer some good help related advice.... Also, go into the Legal Help Thread here on PTO.... Ken Conner will offer some good advice and may also be able to help you...
My Prayers are with you

Lysbeth 03-19-2003, 05:45 PM Haven, I'm a little late here but wanted to welcome you, too, to PTO. My boyfriend's approaching his 13th year of a 20 year sentence for murder. Dealing with these situations is never easy, but it does get easier and better. Hang in there and stay strong, glad you're here and look forward to seeing you around the message boards...

BlondiBluEyzAmy 04-06-2003, 11:24 PM You might want to try the American Civil Libeties Union(ACLU) which is made up of Lawyers who at times donate their services. I may be wrong about it but it wouldn't hurt to contact them. Also try the Maryland Bar. Look up all the Lawyers, tell them your story in as much deatail as possible and maybe you will get lucky that one will donate their services if they feel strongly that they will win the case. They all need the wins to look the best that they can. Also, I don't know about where you live but he might be able to put in a request to change his attorney.
BlondiBluEyzAmy 04-06-2003, 11:28 PM You might also want to try national Criminal Defense Association made up of defense lawyers. I wish you luck
haven 04-07-2003, 05:24 AM we are going to put the request in to get new counsil, but we have to stick with this one for now, so that my fiance can get the psych. evaluation. his family and i had to hire a head doctor ourselves and the doctor needs clearance by the lawyer to talk to my fiance. s after the doctor talks to him a couple of times, then my fiance will put in the papers for new counsil. my fiance hears voices in his head. he head the voice of what he thought was the devil telling him to kill the guy. he said the vioce told him it would better the world. but his lawyer thinks nothing is wrong with him. yea right. normal pople don't hear the devil talkng to them.

shadowangel 09-22-2003, 06:17 AM well all, this is haven again. i just have a new name. butchie got two life sentences without parole and twenty years. the judge had been on the defenses side the whole time till the father of the guy my fiance killed wrote him a letter. then he changed his mind. his lawyer is going to try to get a 3 judge panel to review the case. then he is going to try to get a sentence modification. the judge who was trying the case is going to retire in three months. i just hope that the girl who hired him gets more time. if it hadn't been for her, he would be here with me today and we would have been married. but she took all that away from us. she ruined a lot of lives besides her own kids and family. now i will never have the chance to have kids with butchie. he is the one man i will always love. i always used to wonder how a person could still love someone if they commited murder. now i know cause i am in that situation. and i do still love him very much. if peoiple ask me how i can still love him,i just tell them that you don't choose who you fall in love with and you can't turn love off like a light switch
shadowangel 01-25-2004, 07:56 AM I just wanted to let everyone know that melissa finally got sentenced for hiring butchie to kill her husband. She got one life without parole for the murder, one life without for the conspiracy. the second life is consecutive with the first and then she got 25 years for the fraud of the insurance policy.
Lysbeth 01-26-2004, 08:52 PM Allison, wow, I reckon that's pretty good news, huh? Congratulations and thanks for keeping us posted!
