I was trying to find out if they are on the same grounds as Attica prison?

Basically, Attica's back side can be seen from Wyoming. It's quite a shock the first time you see it, but Attica's front side is on a different street from Wyoming... does that help?

BTW- yes, my loved one is at Wyoming if you want to ask anything else, I will TRY to help :)

MY FIANCE IS MOVING TO WYOMING IN A COUPLE OF DAYS AND I WANT TO KNOW IF THERE'S ANYONE OUT THERE THAT CAN GIVE SOME MORE INFO ABOUT VISITATION AND THE GENERAL RULES OF THE FACILITY.

My fiance has been in Wyoming for a month or so now. Im glad I actally found some people that have loved ones there too. I have visited him 3 times so far, and if anyone has questions, you can post them or pm me, and I will try to answer them. Thanks. Oh yeah, if anyone ever needs a ride out there on odd days, we (my fiance's mother and I) might be able to give ya a ride. Just thought I would throw that in :)

I go every weekend too. I drive and have 2 people that go with me. I live in Manhattan. The girls meet me in my house and we usually leave Fridays at about 9PM if interested call me at 6468251630. We stay the weekend.

its been 19 months since my dearest friend has been in Wyoming CF and i finally made it up there past weekend!!! it was not as bad as i thought it would be and i sure will go back there at least once a month!!! does anyone know more about the family day on sept 17th 2005??? my friend had invited me to come out but i am not too sure what is it all about and some infos would be appricated!!!:thumbsup:

My fiance is in WCF as well, we will be getting married next month. I am on the hunt right now for a simple dress that wouldn't upset the C.O.'s :) He's been shipped all over NY too, this will be first visit to WCF.

when are you going up to WCF? i just had my frist visit and it was great ;) had no problems with the CO's or the metal detector or my clothes :thumbsup: i hope you enjoy your visit as much as i did just watch out from the sun when you walk in circle in the yard or you end up as a REDNECK for few days as i did :p

my boyfriend was just moved there yesterday. can anyone tell me what day is visiting? and can i take a flight out there? im dying to see him. we havent seen each other since may 27,2006 when he was at rikers island and he went through shock program and then they denied his parole so i guess he has to do the rest of his time.i cant take the over night trip at all. so i would have to take a flight. if anyone has any info let me know.................... thanks

but I really think you could find a ride with someone-Wyoming and Attica are next door to each other-so look for someone driving to either place-in the end, with the amoubnt of time you have to arrive early at the airport and the distance from the airport to Wyoming (an hour from Buffalo and Rochester-the cab ride alone would be in at LEAST $100), you will be much better off catching a ride with someone. I you share the driving, you could do it in a day-a very long day-I would guess Wyoming at about 5.5 hours from NYC .

hey wassup everyone? yeah tell me about it my boyfriend has been locked up since valentines day of last year.First Rikers Island then LakeView Shock Program and now he is in Wyoming.I feel the same way like im locked up too.Well i guess i cant talk cause some guys get life in prison with no parole and their girlfriends/wives stay by there side. Hopefully my boyfriend will be home by the summer. He sees the parole board then.................... we both are keeping our fingers crossed and hopeing and praying that he will be allowed to come home. I miss him like crazy............... i havent seen him since 5/27/06

Hey, my man's in Wyoming too. I'm here to talk to anyone. My man's been locked up since July 2005. Same for me, first Rikers, then Ulster for Reception and now Wyoming. He's eligible for CASAT in a few months. Hopefully he'll get it. I'm praying and hoping he gets that so he can come home around December of this year, even if it is on work release. Anything is better than this.

I know how you feel adamosbabe and shehlawebb05 - we're all doing this bid while they're locked up... not just them.

He was moved there last year when his classification changed from Max to Med.

hey Girls I went to see my man monday I do't know if you have been to visit at wyoming yet but its got to be the worst for me and him. No pics they havent done them in over a year in a half. No smoke breaks when he was in his last facility we had smoke breaks. there was no clock on the wall and i had to keep asking what time it was couse I had to leave early. It was not a very good visit so i am really bumming :cry:i really hope next time is better

no, they do not have a clock, so unless you have a watch on you do have to ask (been there/done that). they normally have pictures, but something has been wrong with the machine for the last month or so (i.e., i took pictures new year's day). as for the smoke break, that must be on a facility by facility basis. most of the guys that are in the back of the facility complain about the long walk to just about everything. but it all depends on how you look at things (glass half full or half empty)...he's getting some exercise (at least that's what i tell my loved one).

yes thats true about the exercise. he works out too. hes just getting really short on time and is really beging to stress he is so afraid hes not going to do good when he gets out. he doesnt want to get in trouble. I am just try to finish this bid with him and have him home. But is hard I feel like I am in prison too and he does not think i should feel that way.

Hey, I've been going to Wyoming for a little under a year and they usually have pics. I took pics at the beginning of this month but I know the machine broke at my last visit (the Saturday before you went). They usually fix it by the next visit though. I always wear a watch because I hate the fact that there's no clock in there. I hope your next visit goes better. :)

Well, I just came back from a visit and the picture machine is still broken. But if you want to take pics, tell him to buy some pictures at commissary and you can use that to take pictures even if the machine is broken. Just FYI. :)

my boyfriend is in wyoming correctional facility however I reside in Columbia, SC ... and dont know what to expect for visitation everything is so different up north ... alot of people have been tellin me its and easy process then with me coming from so far away I can contact the superintendent and request to see him on the odd days as well even if he though is he is even ... has anyone every heard of this ... and if not any advice on vistation or just things I should know so I know what to expect!!! thanks for the help

i just went to a visit today and OF COURSE i got terminated after 1 hour and 30min:angry: :( now that its starting to get nice out, is it going to stay like this??? and ALWAYS be crowded?? i have only been going here for about 2 months and it was never this bad. oh by the way im from upstate new york, about 2 hours away from wyoming.

there is less chance you will get terminated(I try to go right after count)-also, try to figure out the free bus schedule and see if you can avoid those days. Other than that, yes it does get crowded when the weather breaks-but it simmers down again. But 2 hours away is considered close to DOCs so you will always be on the termination list.

Does anyone know if you can get married their and what our the procedures. My friend got a letter from the superintendent stating they have know one to do the interview (part of the marriage process). is this true? She and her fiance have been waiting for almost a year to get married.
