Hello everyone ,, I just got back from my doc and I would like to share some things he told me...I mentioned in a previous post about the access assurance number you would need to get after you get your script...well as of today you know longer need to apply for one...I was told that when the peg treatment came out there were so many people waiting to be put on it that they had to have a waiting list and it seems we that is not a problem now:)
Also I suggest strongly that those of you on the outside get in touch with Commit to Care at 1-800-521-7157
they have a wonderful package to give us with the sharps container and a video and loads of info!! plus info on getting finacial help!! and the Be in Charge Program

Yes this is Schering-Plough's number...and the doc gave me a neat little thing Friday...it was a small cooler type of thing..made out of the soft material,,for cool storage of the drug and it had a sharpes container,,,which are not cheap to buy,,, a really cool video about giving yourself the injections, a small booklet with loads of info and a place to record your weekly shots,, and let me tell you this little free package is for anyone inside or out....and it is free and the program is wonderful...they have a RN nurse that you can call anytime with questions or just for support....
