Been keeping up with the Verizon take over of MCI, My only question? What does this mean for us? Guess we will have to wait and see, they say the amount of the basic bills should go down. Your long distance service should also be lower. My main worry as is everyone else here that talks over Worldcom (MCI) what about us will our rates be lower........ Guess we are all playing the wait and see game....................Hope we come out as winners..................PEACE

Are they merging or is one taking over the other? If MCI is taking over verizon, we are probably gonna be in trouble, but if it's the other way around, I think we will be better off. I hope we get some relief, these bills are killing me!

Well, my MCI bill already comes on my Verizon bill together so hopefully, no problems will arise there... HOPEFULLY! ;) Thanks for posting that article.

I sure do hope that the rates go down with this new merger, I also have my mci billed together with my verizon bill but my mci bill is wayyyyyyyyyyy higher than my verizon bill, I guess we just have to wait and see,

Maybe this will see a new contract negotiation for DOCS and whatever the new company will be. We have the chance to do some lobbying for ourselves. A rate cut would be truly appreciated.
