I see that a lot of other states have get togethers...has florida ever had one? :o Just curious.

Yes we just had one in January I believe. It took place in Orlando and unfortunately I could not make it because I am all the way down in South Florida. I would love to have one down here. Unfortunately because the state is so huge, it is hard to choose a place that is in reasonable distance to us all. :p

i'm in north florida but i wasn't a member last year when they had one. i don't know if i could make it but i sure would try.

Because FL is such a big (long) State, maybe there can be more than one g2g. I live in the Orlando area. Feel free to contatc me.

We had a get together but it was not florida. I mean everyone was invited if they were able to come but there were so many of us from Polk County we kind of just made it a polk county get together. We are trying to have another one but anything that is suggested someone says no. So I was thinking maybe we should have one in Gainsville. Somewhere that everyone can have a chance to come to and meet everyone. Cathy said the last one they had maybe 4 people showed up and there was a bunch that said they were coming and didnt. So I know Florida is long and its full of us but we should be able to work soemthing out.

If there a get together plan in the end of August, early september count me I will come all the way from Connecticut as long as I could bring my daughter. We are planning a trip to Disney and for my daughter to meet my girlfriend for the first time.

I think there are a number of different kinds of accommodations in and around the Ocala National Forest... ie. camping, rental cabins, etc.
