Hi!
Just wanted to see if anyone has had any luck with appeals since the Blakely trial or if they have even started to do those yet. Just curious!

hey ashleybebe, i was browsing around and noticed you were talking about the blakely vs. washington trials. i sent my boyfriend all of the legal papers pertaining to the trials. he has used all of this appeals allowed. we don't know what to do next either. he said there were alot of flaws in his case, and the judge gave him a sentence. the judge didn't allow the jury's decision to sentence him the crime at hand, instead the judge sentenced him based on his past history...we're hoping that someone can help us with any type of loophole...

ladies, lots of information available on what the fed and the states are doing with blakely/booker appeals. some of the district and circuit courts have already addressed the issues point blank, others like our 11th circuit-are playing dodgeball.
go over to professor berman's blog:

and click on some of the links...LOTS of information over there
best of luck!
