i was wondering how many others are having problems with recieving mail from their loved ones like i am. my bf is in Kingston Pen. and weve been writing for the past 15months roughly and im lucky if i get one letter every 2months. he writes me weekly so i dont know why i dont get any of them. he made a complaint 3weeks ago and i finally got one letter sent to me, since then, nothing. anyone else having this problem or have any advice??

Im sorry Ash, i dont have experience with KP, But I am praying that they willl get this stupid mail situation FIXED so you can talk to your baby..:)

Wow, hon - are you serious? My man's in BC, and in over 10 years, we've never had aletter go missing. Maybe delayed, maybe turned away - but not missing altogether.

Have you contacted Visits and Correspondence and asked what is happening?

My friend just got sent to Millhaven so I don't know whether there is a problem there or not...I've sent him 3 letters so far..but i haven't spoken to yet to see if he has received them as of yet...i will keep you posted if that helps...:-)

glad to seeu here! Its's Gage's woman here. Long story aboput the name still being stevesboo but its easier not to change..LOL! I have not got a letter sonce December 1st from Gage. As u know he's in RTC in KP but its the same V & C department. I am gonna call and complain and I will let u know! Have u tried calling, whatever came of the grievemce aaron put in? I was getting mad as I thought it was just GAGE but obviously there is a problem!!!

hey thanks jill , i have tried to complain in the past few months and all they tell me is that its not their problem and that the mail gets sent no matter what every day, so its apprently aaron's fault(?). they told me that once the mail is collected it goes out and that its not a V and C problem and that i should contact my post office. which i did and they said it wasnt their problem either! OMG!! the greivance aaron put in was appaerntly looked into cause i got mail 2weeks ago and thats just after he made the complaint. how insane is this?? anyhow. thanks for all ur help jill..

You should get him to log all the letters he sends and add the running list to every letter he does send. Ive had to do this with James because of letters missing. This way the letters you do get, you will see a list of letters you dont get from him, if that makes sense. We even went as far as marking the outsides (back) of the envelopes with A, B, C, etc to see if any are missing. If in fact there are some missing then he has a legitimate complaint since he is paying for the postage. If they have a problem with the content of his mail they would have let him know. So the two of you need to organize a system in order to catch how many are missing.
James and I have had this problem in two facilities he has been too and once our system was explained which proved somewhat to them that letters were missing, somehow the problem mysteriously corrected itself.

hey thanks witchin! thats a great idea! ill tell aaron about it tonite when he calls. apparently the content isnt an issue, he said all they do is look inside to see if theres anything that cant be brought in or taken out of the prison and then they send them. anyway.. thanks for the great idea,i hope things can get "mysteriously worked out" soon! ill keep u posted!

Ive been having that smae problem. MY boyfriend has sent me letters and I never get them. They do it on purpose, hes a bit of a trouble maker in there.

that really sucks! is he in KP as well?? u should try the idea witchlin had, and see how that works. have you called the prison to complain at all?

I just thought i would give you an update about the mail from Millhaven(i know it really doesn't fit with yours, but i was thinking seeing it was in the same area, it might help). My friend got his mail within 3 days and I recieved his that was sent on the 12th today. I don't know if that helps at all. Hopefully it does.

When all goes well , that is the way our mail runs! I use to mail one out on Monday and he would get it wednesday or thursday! Same when he sent me stuff. But lately nothing is coming through. I even wonder if he gets my letters. I have not heard from him since December 1st....

I am pissed ! I call the V&C in kingston and they tell me that they can assure nothing is wrong and I need to speak to my man. ARRRR! THEY PISS ME OFF SO BADDDD!!!

I got flowers in december after my surgery but that was from one of the guys old ladys.

It is soo frustrating. :mad: I write to him every couple of days faithfully at work and still nothing. I know that nothing is wrong with him and I as he left a message on my cell the other day telling me he loved me.

I really dont know what else to try. I guess I just wait. It seems like once a year kingston goes on a binge where they fuck everything up!!! I should be use to it by now!! It isnt the first and it probally wont be the last.

STILL no mail!!!!!!!!! so i called the v and c last week, and i get the same story, only this time, the guy i talked to said that aaron didnt make a complaint/greivance and that i should talk to aaron about the mail not getting here because apparently, its all his fault still. OMG all i want is my mail dammit! so hes going to do the number idea.. and see how that goes. so far no luck at all.. i dont know what to do now.. do i write the v and c and tell them to look into the missing mail problem? any ideas??

I have read all your postings in this thread and would like to ask this question; I have asked this question in this forum elsewhere and would like to ask it again since I had no response. Is there anyone here with a loved one incarerated in the Kingston area that would be interested in simple correspondence from the outside. I have many interests and offer a minor bit of financial assistance for anyone interested in putting in the effort to write. I am straight and my only motivation for posting is simply to gain an idea of what life is like on the inside and provide someone in need the opportunity to have a penpal.

well. heres an update, i called the v and c yet again last week and this time they told me that aaron hasnt put in any greivances at all!! so, now im going to start writing letters to the correctional investigator and a few others. hopefully that will work.. my only worry is that if i do, will it get back to aaron and cause any probs??

i have yet another update. i finally got a hold of someone who could help me!!:) i called the citizens advisory committee and was told to write them, the warden and the correctional investigator to inquire about the mail. i emailed the investigator, and he replied with some contact info. so im finally getting somewhere! ill update again after i talk to him and let everyone know whats goin on.

I used to be at KP years ago and had the same problem. The staff blame the postal service. We were told however that one of the staff were tampering with our mail and this was a senior staff person. Can you imagine the pettiness of such an act? For some it is the only communication available. I have no suggestions for you as we were unable to resolve the problem when we had it. Eventually they left us alone

I would be raging if that was the case... I have talked to gage's PO and she says that i need to tlk to him.... HOW THE F*** CAN I DO THAT????? I still have nto heard anything since december 1st and I mail out a letter a day still...... I know he is getting down to short time but stilll...... I AM WORRIED SICK!!! It just makes me sooo mad!!!!!
