Hi angry_ram. Well you can send books, calendars, stickers, or stationary basically through amazon.com or an office supply site, like officemax.com. The books can be paperback or hardbound. Ummm I can't think of anything else. Was there anything you were asking about in particular?

Hello Celene... Thanks for info. I was just thinking books - and could I send books straight to him, but it seems that I can only use places lke Amazon etc. It is sometimes hard for me to use Amazon, because I dont have credit card and it is too hard sometimes to make payments from here - maybe I can send check? Thank you & Take Care. Noora

Hi again! :)
sweet said most of the things already... :) So, I have only one thing to add... They are not allowed to get stamps, well that's at least what my two pals have told me...
Take care!

You cannot send stamps to anyone in a Texas prison in any unit -- they have to buy them through commissary. Noora -- do you have a debit card or a check card through your bank? Or could you buy a money order to send to Amazon? That would work. And it would be better to send paperback books because they don't have much room to store anything.

Noora as Celene has said books and paper and stationary all must go through a vender. You can't send them anything directly from you, except pictures and letters and things like that.
I am not sure how you would handle paying for it without a credit card. I don't know if you have it there, but a ATM debit card works also. It can be used like a credit card and it is taken right out of your bank account.

I maxed my credit card out, and wanted to order a book, I normally do order from Barnes and Noble. I went to my local book shop, and you can pay them, and they can pay the publisher, if the book is from the USA. Like if it is a barnes and noble book, they can send an order to them to send (You pay up front there is US dollars), thats here anyway, its worth a try.
Also, if you order stationary (just a tip for overseas people ordering ;) ) I used amazon.com to order stationary. I did this because Office Max wouldnt take an international credit card and address, and I couldnt place an order. I went on to amazon, the prices were costly (I had to cut the order in half basically), cause of these outragous prices. Anyway, after I ordered and payed, I got an email from office max (that the prices were reasonable), saying, we have recieved your order via amazon.com. :( So I payed a high price to use amazon, that just use the company I was trying to order with to start with. Then he recieved half the wrong order (like I ordered writing tablets without staples), they sent staples... reason being they had run out of the gummed ones. (that was like $8 with amazon, $3 with office max). So of course he had to trash them, cause they arent allowed to have staples in there stationary. I called office max as well (following day), and you can place an order over the phone at there warehouse and send a money order.
Anyway, thats not really what you can get at Polunsky (just a tip) but as Cel and Softie said, books and stationary and you can get them subscription magazines, but nothing with profanity (nude pictures) in it.

You can go to your local reputable book stores and/or office supply stores to send items, so you can spend cash if needed.
These places usually already send items bought to inmates so they are well awars of what may be sent if you have any questions.
