I am not sure which state you are in, but somewhere in the forums, someone said by getting a notarized doctor's statement, they will consider it.

I can tell you though not in Kentucky. I was told by DOC they do not take visitation into consideration when transferring someone.

Perhaps if you have an Ombudsman there, they might be able to point you in the right direction or offer some advise.

He would have to apply for a hardship move. You need to get your mom's doctor to write a letter stating what is wrong with her and why she cant travel far, it needs to be on the doctors letter head, so if they need to contact him everything is already there. Not sure who you have to send it to. Call Classification in Huntsville and talk to them, and they will let you know all the steps to take.

I do know he has to be case free for aleast a year. Give them a call and they can help you.

I think that you should contact the ombudsan of the state that your loved one is in. They will be abe to tell you exactly what to do and how to do it
