Hello everyone,
I am moving from Cali to Virginia this summer. I need a little bit of information from anyone who knows anything about the cities in Virginia. I want to move to a city close to Woodbridge and close to Springfield.

Hi Karma-
I let me be the first to welcome you to Virginia. Well as far as the cities go, you can live in Woodbridge and Springfield. There's also Lorton which is in between the two. There is also Alexandria were I live. Alexandria covers a wide area. I'm on the side closer to Woodbridge and some places are close to Springfield like Kingstowne.
What are you looking for? Maybe I can help. You can pm me.

Northern Virginia is such a busy area. There's developments going up everyday. You've got tons of choices.
The good thing about you being in CA now is that the transistion shouldn't be too hard for you. I've heard that the cost of living here (Metopolitian DC) is very comparible to Los Angles (traffic too).
If you're looking for a home to buy there's a website www.homesdatabase.com (http://www.homesdatabase.com) It's an up to date listing of homes/condos for sale in this area. It would give you an idea of what's available. Keep in mind that the real estate market is exremly fast-paced out here too. The majority of homes on the market will sell the same day.
Let me know the qualities of the area you're looking for (what city you'll be working in, want to be near shopping?, want to live inn a newer area?, want to be away from traffic? subarbs? city life?) I can give you better suggestions.
I've lived here all my life.
