Hello. I am very new here and have a question I hope someone can help me with. My brother who is currently serving state time has recently been indicted on charges that relate directly to the new Fed charges. What I am wondering is since they are directly related will he be given credit for the time he has served. They say they will not be considered priors since they are related but still he will have a mandatory min of 10 yrs. due to the amount. This is all comming from testimony from other inmates who need sentence reductions. THey have no real evidence. What is the saftey valve and will he qualify? I hope someone can understand what I am asking and will be willing to answere since his lawyer is no help. His charge is conspiracy to manu and they appointed him a bankruptcy lawyer.
