If you’re going to prison can you legally protect yourself?

Or is there another way so that no harm comes to you?

Can anyone give tips on the following?

1. How to protect yourself in prison?

2. Who to be friends with and who to avoid?

3. How to find out whom to make friends with?

4. Should you get a prison tattoo?

Everyday more and more young people are being sent to prison for the first time... Most do not know the real deal...

All I can say is there are no friends in prison. People you associate with -- yes -- but friends -- no.

There is really no way to guarantee protection in prison. The closest way is to sign yourself in PC (protective custody), although many inmates will not do this because they are considered the "RATS".

As far as friends? It is rare that you will make a "real friend" in prison. In prison, everyone is usally out for themselves.

As far as a tatoo? Hep-C is running ramped throughout our US prisons. I would not in any way suggest getting a prison tatoo.

The only way I would suggest to attempt to stay out of trouble, is to avoid joining a gang. Many join gangs for protection, but once in your life is usually in more danger than if you hadn't joined.

Peace....The previous posts are good information. Raised this with my Beloved who has been down for a long time....no friends yet a few he has been close to. My Beloved has stayed busy for years and does not stroll with any gangs. No tats. Mind your business and pick and choose what battles you fight. Blessings...

1. Keep to yourself, and stay out of others businesss

2. Do the time, dont let the time do you

3. Ride by yourself, and with God. He is your ONLY friend in Prison.
