View Full Version : Whats up in Idaho
Just wanted to check in with everyone and see how your all doing. Some of you I see around often and others not so often, but I do think about all of you.
The kids are now on the visiting list to see Chris. I took the oldest and youngest last week to see him. The middle daughter is going with me to visit tomorrow. They are all very excited to finally be able to see each other. Chris is working on getting back over to the private prison so all the kids will be able to visit at the same time. Right now where he is there is a 3 person per visit limit. It makes it hard to have a family visit when not all the kids can go at once. Other then being a happy newlywed thats about all thats going on around here.

suni_baby 01-29-2005, 10:00 PM I am so happy for you guys that the kids are finally able to go see Chris with you! :D
Right now Jeremy is still sitting in Max in ad-seg for some silly hearsay stuff. He gets his visits back about the seventh of February, I have been trying to call and find out if I am able to get my visits reinstated but can never reach the visiting officers. :hmm::banghead: He has another courtdate on his sentence reduction hearing on the fourth. To have that go into effect he needs to have $250 paid around then. If that all goes well his top out date would change from 2010 to 2007! For now we put the wedding on hold because if he can get out in 2007 we will just wait. Also my surgery was changed to the third of February. This is about all that has been up with us. Thank you so much for asking!
MrsSweets 01-30-2005, 04:53 PM I'm glad you ladies are alright :)
Here, everything is okay. I'm not depressed or anything which is surprising :p He calls me once a week and we talk for 30 minutes (time flies  ) and writes constantly.
We're also unofficially engaged (he wants to come meet my family and pop the question) and he asked me pick my ring...I told him: DON'T say that. I'll pick up the most expensive one and you'll end up bankrupted :D
Anyway, my fiance has his first parole interview sometime in May/June and we are all hoping our support letters will make a difference...and of course we are hopng his Parole Officer will be a reasonable one :o Rumor has it around the prison that parole officers are not as much of jerks as the probation ones.
His ex wife is trying to make his life miserable (as she hinted me she would) using their daughter, so hopefully he'll get a fair PO who will set this woman straight. She cannot do whatever she wants, period. :nono: He has his rights too.
You know what, ladies? I think we're lucky. The system in Idaho is not as stricts (and sometimes as insane) as some other states in America. Yes or no?
Much  LOVE  to all of you!!!!

I dont want to burst your bubble, but if asking if the parole commission in Idaho isnt as strict as others then I guess I am the wrong person to ask.
There is a chance that because this is his first time in he could get a release date in June, but please dont get your hopes up to high. With the parole commission there is no rhyme or reason and there is no way to have a clue what they may decide to do.
Be prepared for anything
suni_baby 01-31-2005, 01:12 AM Jeremy went to a parole hearing in June and they told him to take a drug program for him to be considered for release. Well for about a year before that he was trying to get into it (or any drug program) and they would keep putting it off and even now after a judge ordering it to be done within thirty days of the June date they still haven't gotten him into it. So basically its a catch 22 situation. Other than that I have no idea how the parole board works, and I guess that isn't much.

I think this is a common issue. The parole commission tells everyone to take some sort of TC program so there ends up being a waiting list.
The problem is unless you have been told to take the program its hard to get into it. As you see Jeremy tried for a year in advance to take it and he couldnt get in. They were letting those who are TOLD to take it in instead. IMO is what happens is the ones who are serious about trying to make changes while the ones who are only programming because thats what they are told to do get out.
I think the ones who want to make the changes on their own should have first pick of the programs. I cant help but question how badly the ones who are told to program in order to get out really want it. Anyone can take a program because thats the ticket out, but for those who are doing it for that reason arent doing it for the right reasons.
The ones who want to program have a better chance at making it on the outside because thats what they WANTED to do and not what they were told to do
suni_baby 01-31-2005, 08:33 PM I honestly believe with all my heart in what you said. Simple as that.
Hey everyone....
Just wanted to check in again and see how everyone is.
As most of you know by now Chris has a parole hearing coming up in June. We have a interview with the hearing officer this month. I am very nervous about this hearing. Not because I am nervous about him getting out or making it, but nervous about speaking in front of others. Someone told me to just picture everyone in their underwear. The problem is I feel like I will be in my underwear...lol
His hearing is in about 9 weeks and if they give him an open release date then he could be home in 12 weeks. When you think of it like that its not far.
The kids have been visiting and thats going great. They are so excited when we go see him. I cant tell you the joy that I feel seeing all those happy smiles. Its like a dream come true.
Chris is also growing his hair out. When we went to visit yesterday my middle daughter said "that doesnt even look like him". Hes got a lot of gray coming in so it does age him a bit. Right now its not very long and I cant wait to see him after its grown in more. I told him that I wanted at least one picture before she shaves it off again.
suni_baby 04-07-2005, 08:42 PM First off I wanna say good luck  to you and Chris on the upcoming hearing! I am sure no matter how nervous you are :faint: you will do fine.
Jeremy is still in ad-seg. But this month his new sentence will be official but they need to do a re-sentencing hearing so I am not for sure yet of what the new one will be. It would be great if they would let him out at least on parole or even a work center within the next year! We would love that! I will keep everyone updated once I find out more.
Hope everybody else is doing good.
suni_baby 09-11-2005, 01:00 AM Hey girls! Whats been going on? Not much really has changed here. My baby is still in ad-seg but we are hoping he will be getting out and heading to that darn drug class before June rolls around as that is his next parole hearing. He wants me to write him a support letter for the hearing, but of course I'm stumped. He has been in ad-seg for almost a year now. I haven't seen him for about that long also. :( But we are making it work of course. As some might know I was having a rough time but I am happy to say that pending a drug test result (no worries here) that I will be happily employeed at a job that I don't have to really worry bout hours getting knocked down! So how have my Idaho sisters been?
Nothing much has been happening around here. Its been quiet now that school is back in, but I was as ready for school to start as the kids were.
I am happy to hear that things are picking up for you. Did you get the job you were telling me about or a differnat one? Either way sounds like things are going much better.
Keep me posted on how your doing with that support letter. Its not really all that hard to do. Once you get started writing it will just flow naturally.
MrsSweets 09-11-2005, 05:51 PM suni_baby, if you need help with a support letter, I can help you :)
suni_baby 09-12-2005, 01:32 PM Tanya~ It is not the same job that I was telling you about. But at Sears. I will be working at 6 in the morning! So I will still have my evenings with my brats.
I would gladly appreciate any advice on the letter. LOL I think thats my problem, like how others don't like speaking in public, I hardly ever know what to say when the letter is really important! So thank you for offering!
