My fiance' was accepted into The Pheonix House in New Hampshire. He isn't going until November this year, he has to finish out his prison sentance first.
He was told that it's a real hard program and is scared he won't be able to complete the program. I was wondering if anyone here has had any experience with the Pheonix House and what is it like. Are the rules that strict? He has never been in an enviroment like the Pheonix House and doesn't know what to expect. Any information will put him at ease, as I will forward any information to him.
Thank you in ad***ce.

Here is a link I found about the phoenix house. I have not heard of this program since NO. Cal is what i am most familiar with. However reading through the mission statement and such, I have a good feeling about what it's about. Any program is going to be hard and an adjustment. The first two weeks to a month is especially challenging, but if he really wants recovery then he will do what he has to do to receive the maximim benefit the program has to offer. Lean on the counselors and his peers a lot. He will get used to it and remember it's just a new set of rules he will have to live by. The more willing he is the better off he will be..

Good luck to you and him :)
