Dear NeedInfo:
I used to work in an IL prison... I ran a drug treatment program and would be happy to write out the schedule they followed....
I could also give you a general schedule for the rest of the prison... but a lot of it varies by individual inmate depending on what they choose to be involved in....
If you want me to email you some basic schedules, send me your Email address to JDsWifey02@aol.com...

HEY - NEED INFO
i CAN GIVE YOU ONLY ONE SCHEDULE...
MOST INMATES ARE DIRECTED IN SCHEDULE BY THE TYPE JOB THEY HAVED...
MY SON WORKS IN THE UNIT KITCHEN. HE GETS UP AT 3:30 A.M. SHOWERS, DRESSES AND GOES TO WORK AT 4:00 A.M. IN THE KITCHEN.
THEY GET READY, COOK AND SERVE BREAKFAST BY 6:00 A.M. TO THE GENERAL POPULATION. THEY CLEAN UP THE KITCHEN AND THEN COOK AND SERVE LUNCH AT 11:00 A.M TO THE GENERAL POPULATION. HE GETS OFF WORK AT 11:30 A.M. A SECOND SHIFT KITCHEN THEN TAKES OVER AND SERVES THE DINNER MEAL.
HE USUALLY GOES BACK TO THE DORM AT 12:00 AND TAKES A 45 MINUTE NAP. AT 1:00 P.M HE GOES TO THE YARD TO PLAY BASKETBALL AND LIFT WEIGHTS.
HE STAYS OUTSIDE AT LEAST 2 HOURS IF THE WEATHER PERMITS. HE THEN GOES TO DORMITORY AND READS OR TO THE REC ROOM AND WATCHES TV. AT 6:00 HE CALLS HOME OR HIS FIANCEE. HE GOES BACK TO DORM AND READS AGAIN. HE GOES TO BED AT 9:00 PM IN ORDER TO RISE AT 3:30 THE NEXT DAY.

Here is a site where female inmate's talk a bit about what it like on the inside and there is a link to click, if you want to see the person that is telling her story. There short pieces but a picture can be made of there situation. At the bottom of the page, there is a difinition of some of the terms they use.
