well I know even the side of your butt cheeks are a no no at my guys place. Nipples are out and anything blatently sexual. But Ive heard of ones getting past. I know my guys bunkie figures he gets about 1/3 of what his girlfriend sends. I sent one last summer and I was in a bathing suit but since the sides of my butt kind of showed just a bit they wouldnt let him have it (I think you can see a tiny bit of everyones butt on most female bathingsuits except my grandmothers). Though they did show it to him in the councillors office and allowed him to destroy it himself. Which in my opinion was his councillor at least giving him a chance to see it and probably didnt agree with the mailrooms decision for it to be contraband. Someone else probably has better advice about this, I dont send anything that can even slightly lessen his chances at parole right now.

I dont think they can punish them but it must get documented somewhere since they call it contraband when its something that is not allowed and I would imagine repeated accounts of this would be something that would be noticed.

My hubby says the rule is, no nipples or pubic area..otherwise anything goes!!! But also...no poloroids.

But remember...anything you send.....goes around the mailroom first..and I have heard that some also make it round the C/o circle for all to see!!!

Shit Kisha---pictures of our 8 year old son learning how to dive at his swimming lessons didn't get in in Michigan as they are considered "sexual" and thus contraband as he didn't have a shirt on when he was swimming. Can you imagine????? Bill got to see the pictures and then they were up front for me to pick up at a visit.

Anyway, nothing can show....and forget wet tee-shirts---no nipples showing either.

Yes I've heard of it and I've also heard of guys getting their mail privelges taken away (from the person who tried to send it in). That definitely is considered sending in contraband and he could get into trouble for it as well as the sender.

As you all know the standards are different in each facility. The policy states that you can't have any of the aerola showing and no nipples. I have sent a picture in that had a good protion of butt cheek showing and it got through but like Witchlin said, hers in a bathing suit did not. Mailroom interpretation I guess.

It does depend on the facility and the CO. I've had pictures be rejected at one facility, forwarded to another because he was transferred and the new facility let the pictures in.

I know to most of us Deb's situation and Jessiegirl's with their sons seem ridiculous, but I wonder if it might be because of the SO's that are inclined toward children and the system is afraid those pictures might become a contraband commodity for trade, etc. Just a thought.

Yeah I accidently and truly mean accidently had a nipple slip through in one of my shots and I didnt even notice and sent the pic to my man and the mail caught it though UGH! Great someone in the mail room seen my Nipple YUCK! LOL!
But then I've sent some really racey photos in before and they have let them in so I think it depends who is in the mail room more than anything else!

ok listen sweetheart im not going to insult anybody but nobody on this fourm really knows what they are talking about let me tell you how it goes because i have been there and done it first hand....first things first it all depends on where he is at and how lemient the police are about letting stuff like that through no nipples and depending on where he is at no ass cheeks then again at some places you could be bent over wearing a thong and it would pass it all depends and as far as him getting in trouble no they would just reject the pictures and make him sign a form saying either throw the pictures out or pay such and such and send them back to you but no he wouldnt get in trouble and he wouldnt get his mail restricted i have never even heard of that one.

I'm sorry that you feel none of us know what we are talking about Mario, but MANY of us have been doing this for 5+ years and quite a few of us have learned by trial and error. It DOES vary from facility to facility, and while mail restrictions are NOT common, it does happen. Not because of a one time rejections but repeated attempts to circumvent the mail guidelines. In GENERAL, we also try to relate the policy information since that is what the DOC will defer to if they reject anything.

I agree with you on the policy thing the rum/arus/arums are the ones who cover the whole process so yes it is all about policy directives with them and im not taking nothing or saying anything about whoever has learned by trial and error and have been doing this ON THE OUTSIDE for 5+ years all im saying is i have actually been there and done that and had my mail and pictures rejected a million times so i think my post holds a little more weight then somebody who has just been riding in the car with somebody for a couple years also you have to remember you guys are listening to the same people who make up storys all day about how granholm is going to let people go and how the budget deficit is going to make mdoc kick people out the door but you dont ever see anybody going home the only reason i say this is because i read some of the stuff people post on here and i heard the same things every single day from the sources themselves for 2 years straight and some of the stuff is redicilous i dont know why these dumb a$$ inmates are telling people this stuff maybe because they are bored and have nothing else to do think about it like this the only way anybody would know anything that was going on for sure is if they had a badge or were wearing a wire i mean for real and believe this im here to help anybody that is in need about anything the only level i havent been to is a 4 i was at 9 different prisons and im not saying i know everything but anything i tell you you can take to the bank i would never post some thing i dont know is true personally i would never tell anybody anything that is hear say thats just prison yard gossip im not trying to discredit anybody or offend anybody im just giving you the real thats what im here for sorry if anybody took what i said the wrong way.....Mario

I sent a pix of me in my bra, and trust me a whole lot of clevage was there for the world to see (at the photo shop and in the mail room) my baby got that pix. Of course my tat was sitting up to be notice too. When I went to visit, I just happen to have that same bra on and he noticed, he flicked my shirt and said is that the bra in the picture? I said yes and they called his surname. They acted like he was groping or feeling me. I wish he could but I can wait.

OK, here's what I'm attempting this weekend. Let me know what ya'all think:

Photos taken via webcam, printed on regular paper. Cropped so that my face doesn't show. Envelope is typed, with no return address (can't compare writing samples). There are only short captions next to each pic that are absolutely benign as far as identifying me goes.

2 - Bare breast, BUT with a rose covering nipple/areola
2 - Bare breast, BUT with dildo covering nipple/areola
1 - Black bra with dildo in cleavage

My guy is at Kinross. I do NOT want him to get into any trouble, and I assume he can't, if he/they can't even identify who sent the pics, right? I mean, it's not like he "asked" for them or anything! They just showed up and he has no idea who sent them!

I just can't resist a little tease to get him hot and bothered. I think he LIKES it, though! <<snicker>>

So, what do you think? Try to get them through or abort the project?

I do know that occassionally, mail without a return address will be rejected, so that would be the first point of concern....

As for the others, technically, there isn't a problem, but it depends on who is reading the rules and sorting the mail that day. They won't accept any pics where a toy is being used, and some might consider #2 and 3 as being used, even though it technically isn't.

Well it does depend on the facility & who in the mailroom is reviewing the pics. My old bunky got some very racy pictures of his girl sent in & allowed through. One of her naked with her holding pictures of him just barely covering her bits & pieces. Worst case scenario is they will be rejected & he will have to choose to either send them back to sender, destroy them, or hold them for a short period of time to release on a visit. If any mail is rejected, he can request a hearing at which time they must show him the rejected items & state why they were rejected. A good guide is kind of like anything you could see on regular TV can get thru. No butt crack showing, no nips or private area exposed. Don't mark or put anything on the photo itself or it will be considered contraband & rejected. If you have to cover anything on racy photos try to do it with a Photo Editing program like Adobe Photoshop, save your originals & send them copies. Any questions or more help I can be just ask. P.s. he will not get in trouble for mail rejections. In fact the CO's may follow strict policy but appreciate the sneak peeks. & u can send mail without return address without it getting rejected.
