This past weekend we were in prison. On wed the recreation officer from the Powledge Unit called and said they were cancelling us due to staff shortage. I already had a 15 passenger van rented and hotel rooms for our team. I called the Warden at the Eastham Unit Warden Stacks and told him my situation and he allowed us to come to The Eastham Trustee camp on saturday then we went to the Beto Unit on Sunday.

It would have been really easy for him to say no. We were just there on March 24th byt he is a good Christian man and sees the value in inmates being with volunteers.

thank you for helping the inmates down at east ham, I have a personal interest since my husband is there. I am just glad to know that people do not forget about them way out here in the country. Stacks is pretty cool too..

Warden stacks is a pretty reasonable guy. Just try to walk the line and be honest and he is pretty good to you.. He even comes down on sat sometimes and says hello while people are visiting..

The work you do is wonderful and I am sure the inmates appreciate the efforts you go to. Thank you.
