My guy hasn't been getting any of his magazines, NONE of them and all are paid up for another year without the subscription expiring at all. He has said that NO ONE is receiving much mail ... only about 8-15 pieces each day of mail from the mailroom and that is for over 300 guys in his yard... PLUS no one is getting their magazines .... anyone else having this problem there?
I'm curious before I call out there to find out what is going on...

My husband hasn't gotten his magazines since I first got him the subscription, 2 different ones. He wrote the magazine Co., they are being sent, he just doesn't get them? I believe he got the first 2 or 3 of them then stopped. Hes been there just over a year now. And the mail seems to go through periods of "so slow" , in and out going mail. Its how they punish them. Guards do the same on their packages, take part of the food to snack on, right in front of them, just to taunt them. There very crule there. I haven't been getting mail much either since the new year.. It will pick up again....hopefully soon... 3 months to go then he will be home!!!

I haven't recieved any mail since the end of November. My friend was at Avenal, sent to Corcoran, I was going to visit him on Christmas and he wasn't there anymore. I just found out he is back at Avenal. I'm at least hoping he is getting my mail.
Also, I wanted to know if all inmates are on lockdown or just the hispanic population, does anyone know?

I would put in a call to the Office of the Ombudsman and see if/how he can help.

Could you post the number for the Ombudsman please as I am in Indiana and don't have it ... it would be greatly appreciated and I will call them for sure these subscriptions cost us all a fortune sometimes depending on what they are.

any calls you make, be SURE you never mention your husbands name. You could cause him ALOT of problems. Just be a concerned family member.... I wanted to complain also but my husband told me horror stories about others whos familys complained. I did write to the govenor, but didn't really get any where. I was told to contact your husbands counsolor, they should be able to help?...yea right....

Trust me I know that part, although it didn't happen to me it happened to our friends husband bigtime all because his wife called for medical attention and got so many people involved it was unreal...

But, I do know from experience how one CO tried to threaten my man with the fact of telling me another woman was sending him money, my man just smiled and said let's call her and tell her, the CO gave a strange look and my man said comeon let's call her here is her number and he told the CO my number and the CO said well I won't tell her this time. My man said no let's call her sir, I think she would like to know that I am getting it especially since it's her best friend sending it to me :haha: :haha: :haha:!!! You see I automatically put X amount of money in my best friend checking account for direct deposit so she can send it the day I am paid and she can drop it in the mail for me since the mail service is only 1 day for her and 4 for me LOL... saves time for my man to get him his money LOL...the jokes on that CO :D

my husband just told me hes getting his magizines again, and mail comes in clumps. None all week, then a few letters all at once. At least there receiving it again, but 2 weeks after its mailed.. It must be traveling by horseback...
