Okay, part of my probation is that I can't have contact with my boyfriend. He's in prison for 32 months. His sister told me that when he called her, they were able to call someone on 3-way. I'm on house arrest so I can't go to her house and talk to him, or I would. Do they have any way of tracking who the inmates call, or if 3-way is uesd or anything like that? I'm sorry I ask dumb questions, but I wanna talk to him so badly! Do you think I could get away with it?
No questions are Dumb. That is how we learn.
Some units you CANT use those features. So please be carful, that will only make things worse for you, and they do record what or who they call
they DO record...it sounds like a risky thing to do.

Speaking of this recording thing...say you have a prison with 1200 or so inmates...yes, they record, or monitor, but frankly, I cannot see HOW they would ever have the personnel to weed through all those calls and listen to all of them, and/or the recording. Prisons are not known for people beating down the doors wanting to work there! So I just wonder, how realistic is it...or is it only when they suspect someone who has had disciplinary problems? does anyone know?

I agree that there is a lot of risk to trying to talk to your boyfriend. You might get away with it for a few times, but chances are you could get caught. This would jeapordize your probation conditions and also your boyfriend in prison. If the prison officials no of the no contact order, your boyfriend might be on a 'watch list' and have his calls monitored more than the others.

you are right. They cant record every ones conversations, BUT, how do you kow your not that one they are?
Pme is right, this girl is probably on a watch list. I know that some units cant call unless your on the phone list thingy, lol
Just be carful.

i think that if you watch what you say on the phone then you will be okay .... i personally dont think that you will be caught.good luck!
