What do you mean before your time?

You can only go to halfway house for the last 10% of your sentence. The only way around this is if you attend the RDAP program and graduate. You can go to halfway house for the last 6 months of your sentence.

Unfortunately this sounds as if it may be an inmate rumor. There are an abundance of them and its sad because it gives false hope to the inmates.

Cjjack nailed it right on the head. She will only do the last 10% of her time SERVED in a halfway house.
Example: My sentence was 10 months=300 days. I served 273 days in prison and 27 days in a halfway house.

In certain situations, one can do up to the last 6 months of any sentence in a CCC.

Yes, that is true if you complete RDAP or Boot Camp. Iforgot about those.

RDAP, ICC (Boot Camp), meaningful consideration pursuant to Circuit authority in the 1st and 8th Circuits and/or a proper legal argument - properly prosecuted - in the many other jurisdictions.

My som is due to be releasd to halfway house on 5/24/2005. But that puts him at only 4 mod not 6 mos. Can thr BOP do that? He asked at his last team meeting and was told that they dont have to even send him to halfway house. He is at zero points and always has been, never been in troule while in the FCI. What to do?

Vangeigh, he is only eligible to spend the last 10% of his sentence in halfway house unless he has completed RDAP.

:) Hello All,
My brother is being given the 6 mos and will be coming home next Dec. He is in a medical facility and low security for close to 6 years. Could be his medical condition and no priors to receive the 6 mos. ?!?
I recently had a "home visit" from his Fed. Probation/Parole rep and she was very pleasant.
My question now is, has anyone had experience with this Fed. program for this probation ? What was your experience with them ? How did it go ? Please let me know what to expect from your experience.

Thankyou,

He is getting the 6 months of halfway house because of the time he served. the BOP rule is 10% of your time served or up to six months max. Because he served 6 years then he will get the max of 6 months.
Unless he did the RDAP or BOOT CAMP program. they automatically get the six months.
