There are times when there is bright light in the sky, the bright light of success.
Well, I want you guys to know about one of our own. Many of you may know rap_gurl our own Kauri.
She and I made a promise to each other a couple of years back, we were both in desperate times. She did not think that she could do what she needed to do to keep from going to adult prison, and I was not sure that I had the strength to do what I needed to do to keep from going back.
Well, you know I am still here, and in a large part it is because of this young lady!
Moreover, she is still here, she successfully worked all that was required of her to complete her probation, she has graduated from High School and is now in the process of learning how to deal with that wonderful part of life we call adulthood!
Kauri, needed some direction today and she thanked me in a shout out for something I said in pm.
In reality it should be me who is Thanking Her, and I am!
Kauri, Thank You for showing me that we are never too old to stop learning, and for showing me your true inner spirit, the courage and determination that you have shown since we made that promise to each other has inspired me to do better in my life.
My friend, there will be times when you are discouraged, angry, hurt, and you wonder if you can make it through another day. When those days come, I want you to remember what you have accomplished in the last couple of years, it took alot of courage to get up and turn your life around and you did it, never, never doubt yourself!
